i inherited this amazing hibiscus plant when I moved to oklahoma. the stunning red flowers pop out every morning to greet me. their ruby red fineness tickles me with delight. i can't resist taking a photo of them!
so once again i will share a few of these red beauties with you this summer on my blog and on my instagram:
life is filled with beginnings, middles and ends. currently i am in the middle. i quite like the middle. it can be filled with all sorts of adventures. but sometimes the middle can be a little too comfortable. and, well, it can get filled with utter blah-ness. i think our mind needs a little of both to keep the soul intact with the yin yang mode. so when the blahs get off kilter it is time to start skipping. yep, skip. skip to the mailbox to get the snail mail. skip around your house. not a skipper? chew a whole pack of hubba-bubba bubble gum and blow the biggest bubble you possibly can. and then see if you can beat that with a larger bubble. allergic to sugar? (i won't judge.) go to the dollar store and buy a jar of bubbles and promptly open it and go to the parking lot and twirl around letting the wand fly in the air leaving trails of iridescent wonder. it is important to keep in contact with your inner child. it is your best friend. your friend can do wonders to keep your inspiration mode working in the middle ground. in my world, me and my friend hang out and play a lot together. so grab your inner child's hand and embrace the magic of the middle of your life!
